In the Baha'i Faith marriage is regarded as a divine institution. Marriage is seen as a grace and a benefit from God which is both sacred and eternal bond, and a challenge to be won each day.
Mrs. Ruhe gave courses on marriage and family life and combines her knowledge of the Baha'i Faith's teachings on marriage with her knowledge of sociology and psychology. The author studied sociology and psychology at the University of Illinois, graduating with highest honors. Mrs. Ruhe lived in Haifa for 25 years from 1968 to 1993 while her husband, Dr. David Ruhe, served as a member of the Universal House of Justice.
